Hi Jay,
I'm guessing that with the new intake your kickdown linkage isn't long 
enough. You do have it hooked up don't you? I've had to remake (weld in an 
additional length) of rod in order to get enough adjustment in the upper 
rod. This linkage HAS to be in place and properly adjusted for not only your 
passing gear put also proper upshifts as the TorqueFlite does not use a 
vacuum modulator to control the shifts.
