I recently joined the mailing list and this isthe
first time I've submitted a message to the list...please be
gentle.
I recently purchased a powdered bronze 60 4 door
hardtop with what appears to be 15,000 miles on it. I'm trying to verify
that but from the condition of the frame, floors, motor, interior, etc, it
looks pretty new. The body is another story as for the past 26 years
it's been a 'barn car'. Not really a barn, but it wasn't stored very
well. It's got some rust, nothing real heavy but a number of trim pieces
are missing. Specifically, one of the brow emblems, the 'C' in the CROWN
and the 'L' in IMPERIAL beneath the trunk. I haven't found many 60's in
boneyards and the few that I did see were stripped of all trim.
Does anybody have any advice?
There is also a lot of brightwork which will need
to be rpaired/replated. There are local shops but I didn't know if
there are any the club/mailing list has any deals with.
Sorry for the lengthy message but I'd like to
have this work of art on wheels on the road by spring time and I'd like her to
have all her parts.
Thanx
Tom

Considering there is an official OIC mailing list for gay
members then I'd say it is a valid question.
