Re: IML: Booster Dewey

When I have Booster Dewey rebuild my boosters, I ask him to not paint them. He is happy to accommodate my request.

The same goes when I have a radiator rebuilt. Radiator shops (and most restorers) insist on painting them gloss black which, of course, they never were.

List,
It has been a few years, but while I lived near Seattle, I had him rebuild my 68's booster. It was about $100 at the time, and did not take long. After I got it back, it whistled, but otherwise worked well. From memory, I think he spray painted the booster black, but it looked like Rustoleum, over the rust. I don't think you'll be overwhelmed by the cosmetic improvement, but mine was functional, which is what I needed.
So, I guess I can provide weak positive feedback on his work, and no negative feedback.
