No, the Aitemp decal should only be on an air-conditioned car. But I never knew you could get the rear air (the same switch was used for either option in back, the rear defroster or the rear a/c unit) without the front a/c. Of course, they could have installed one by accident. I know of a '67 Mobile Director Crown Coupe with the sticker installed upside-down at the factory. Hmmm... Got your build sheet? A '66 without a/c is a rare puppy. The climate control only has a position that says "air" and there is a separate switch on the dash that says "rear air". Thing is, this car has no A/C unit nor any indication that it ever did. The "system" looks a lot different than our '64 does, the dash top vents don't adjust either, they are molded. Did all the cars come with this sticker? It says air conditioning, but there sure isn't any :o| Bill & Tami Roddick '64 Imperial Crown (triple-black) '66 Imperial Crown (triple-green) '72 'Cuda 340 (in pieces right now) '88 Cherokee Laredo '95 Concorde ----------------- http://www.imperialclub.com ----------------- This message was sent to you by the Imperial Mailing List.
