Re: IML: '73 headlight door motor lubrication

I don't understand how a sticking motor could make one side uneven. The hidden headlight Mopars I've dealt with (primarily '80's Imps) have a bar running through the motor. Whatever distance the motor turns it turns that bar which in turn twists the headlight doors open and closed. Both sides have to travel the same distance because the motor doesn't have a right and left side. The bar is square tube and may be bent on one side or binding in its motion. That would be where I started my investigation.

That worked, huh?

I took the spring off and wound it tighter.

Very challenging. Bugger was really resistant, but
that solved it too.

Motor sticks after inactivity, so I'll go after it
next!

Thanks Elijah!
