It's true that Volvos are some of the best cars to be in if you are in a collision. IMO, they have to protect their occupants better than most cars because the people who drive them are far more likely to be involved in a collision. This is a damn shame, regardless what they were driving. These were needless fatalities due to the complacency and inattention of one individual. The Duesy would have no doubt been restored to original specs but the addition of seat belts would have been a good excuse to deviate from factory spec. I'd think that I would have gone that way. I'll have to remember my little speech when I restore my 51 Imperial.
