Jon, on my '66 Crown Coupe, it came with both outside mirrors. I may be wrong, but I believe that was true for all the at least for '66.

They're not very useful for viewing, but I agree with you on the balance issue.

While patching up a few dents and dings, they filled in and painted over the
mirror holes. Now I have to decide - do I drill out the holes and install
the mirror, or do I leave it off - which is probably the way the car was
delivered to the original owner.


I think I've answered my own question because I like the "balanced" look of
two mirrors and it is quite useful when changing lanes on the highway.
Anyway, I would appreciate any thoughts, advise, suggestions.
