Hi Joe,

Well, if it "catch from time to time" then it won't be the flywheel gear
or the gear of the startmotor.
I think the fault is in the startmotor itself, you see when you turn the
ignition key the gear on startmotor spindle has to go forwards to engage
with the gear on the flywheel.
I think the gear is stuck so it doesn't go forward and the startmotor wil
rev at pretty high rpm.

I think you have to investigate that startmotor !
