To those further interested, I provide further detail regarding the tripple 
ribbon white wall and dimensions of those tires which were an option on '65 
and '66 Imperials.

Fortunately I have an original '65 bias ply Goodyear Power Cushion 9.15 x 15 
tire. Mounted and measuring from the edge of the wheel rim to the beginning 
of the tripple ribbon treatment (1/2 inch white,1/8 inch black, 1/8 inch 
white, 1/8 inch black, 1/2 inch white) there is a distance of 1 and 3/4 
inches of black tire before the white wall treatment begins.

In regards to tires pictured in archival photographs (source: Imperial 
1964-1968 Photo Archive edited by P.A. Letourneau) the tripple ribbon 
treatment continues in the vintage '67 and '68 photographs. Pages 130 
through 138 portray a white wall treatment identical to that of the two 
previous model years BUT the entire white wall configuration is more towards 
center upon the tires and thus approximating the tires I received from 
Diamond Back.  The area of black rubber between rim and white wall 
treatment, and measured as afore mentioned, measures just one inch.  Mounted 
they are stately and beautiful and look just like the '67 and '68 pictures.  
To my dissapointment however, not correct for a '65.

They are 60,000 mile Firestone Supreme radial tires (P235/75 R15). If or 
when Diamond Back can sell me the correct dimension radials for my '65, I 
plan to accept the best offer for the tires I have.
