Hello-
Yes. that is Tyler's address. Just a coincidence that he lives on "Tyler
Parkway' I guess.
I had forgotten his birthday also until I read your e-mail. I am glad you
sent it. I tried to call him yesterday, but as usual no answer. Sent him an
e-mail card anyway also rushed out and got him a real one, put a small check in.
I have trouble keeping up with important days, especially birthdays in April.
Why are so many babies born in April? Must be the hot summer nights.
Went to the clinic yesterday, waited a long time to see doctor. Loaded with
Mexicans as usual, all expecting the gringos to pay their bills. The doctor is
very young, I guess not long out of school. Took Merlyn in with me to save time
so he could address both of our problems.
He was concerned about the cause of Lyn's fistula more so than the
presence. Said we should contact the UNC hospital in Chapel Hill, where they
have specialists who can do a complete exam internally, etc. Said it could
be potentially serious, especially as it returned after the first attempt to
cure it. Suggested Crohn's disease, but I doubt it as the symptoms are not the
same. Also said the hospital would "work with us" in the matter of payment,
meaning a payment book that will stretch on forever. I already have one of those
for my kidney stone 15 minute session. This is the same medical school that Lyn
is having her dental work done. He didn't think that having it corrected again
in the RP was advisable until they knew the cause.
Gave Lyn antibiotics, same as before. It will cause the fistula to heal for
a month and then it will return as before. Took her over to medical supply for
support stockings, they are 41 a pair, custom fit there. I needed a prescription
for them. Didn't buy them as didn't have the $ yesterday. paid the clinic. Lyn
gets paid again next week-she will have to buy them out of her paycheck if
anything left after expenses.
Doctor said my blood pressure was 160 over something, which is quite high.
Gave me some diurectic pills which are supposed to remove water. Am to take them
and come back in 3 months. That is assuming I am able to come back! Pushed the
new mower (Lyn's) uphill yesterday while cutting grass down at the pond with
it-had a nose bleed after blowing it. Probably heart pressure. I remembered my
last boss, he died while cutting grass with his riding mower. He was a lot
younger than me, in his l;ate forties. Wife didn't realize he had fallen off
mower and died from heart attack. I am no where near ready to die-too much
unfinished business. Kind of scary-
Doctor didn';t seem to think my ear ringing was necessarily connected to
blood pressure-but I think it is-perhaps my neck stiffness also.
Lyn does not have my checking account code to withdraw money. In the even I
am incapable of getting to the bank she will need the money to exist for a
short while. All SS and pension payments will stop, no income at all except
hers. I will send the four digit number to you by mail-don't trust the web
anymore. Also will send it to Arlene-though I would be greatly surprised if she
came down here. There is a few thousand in each account-enough to go a few
months. My bank stock has lost a lot of value lately-but enough left to take her
another three or four months. This will need to be sold, she doesn't have clue
as to how to do that.
I have no reason not to trust her-believe she is honest-but makes poor
decisions based on the opinions of others, also lacks self confidence ,
sometimes skirts the truth so people won't "be angry with her."
She finally decided to turn in her McDonald uniforms, never did tell the
supervisor she needed to quit. Said she was afraid she would be angry. I
explained that the sup,.might be angry considering the way Lyn has been a
no-show for several weeks without explanation. But she should be honest with
her, explain reasons, etc. Lyn lacks self confidence sometimes, tries to make up
for this by being stubborn.
Drove her for driver permit test yesterday, she borrowed glasses from her
friend to see with.
Failed test. I dread trying to teach her to drive. She is very short, and
concentration isn't always there. I did teach Kiky to drive (a mistake) but Kiky
was very focused. Of course, she had an accident shortly after she got her
license, almost killed Bryan.
More later-my eyesight is bothering me, can't focus either! Thanks for
remembering Tyler. I am sorry he doesn't contact you. I taught them family
responsibility when they were little-but divorce ended a lot of that.
Love, DAD
