Thanks for the kind offer to loan your '66 FSM, Bill. It is not posted anywhere that I'm aware of. Currently, these are the FSM's that are in the pipeline: 1929, 1932, 1933, 1934-36, 1949-50, 1951-52, 1955, 1958 (anyone heard from Larry Blomberg in australia? I'm looking for him on the one we loaned to him to scan...), 1965, 1967, 1969, 1970, 1972, 1982. Each one has tons of info to share, be we don't have the manpower to knock these out very rapidly (which is why I was hoping to entice some new folks to come in and help). We have been averaging about one per month for awhile - 1955 is just around the corner from being done, so I am told. How would you feel about having your FSM spiral bound? To scan a manual, we've been bottom-feeding on Ebay and buying copies that then get the binding sliced off. This allows them to be fed into the automated scanner that we have. It's either that or manually scanning 400-600 pages by hand to preserve the bindings, and you get the page rolling up into the binding if you avoid breaking the spine of the book, so we decided that we'd just go out and get books that nobody owned or was particular about and sacrifice them for the cause. If you're still in to donating your book's body to science, we'll pay to have it spiral bound and mailed back. Result is OK, but you have to be a little more careful when handling the book. Usually a 5-7 day turnaround. Email me off list and we can arrange it... -Kenyon --- "Wm. R.
