Actually folks; It's a 54' New Yorker Deluxe, meaning that it had the same four barrel carb and dual exhaust as my Imperial. Regular New Yorkers had the two barrel and single exhaust as they replaced the Saratoga for a few years. D^2, you're right about the gas pedal but it should have a shaft sticking out of the floor. I do like the interior though, it has much better quality upholstery then the junker NYer that I saw around here as it has leather, more like the Imperial aside from the door panels. I have always wondered what a Highlander interior would look like in my Imperial but I have never seen it in a car that new. I believe that they used a wool broadcloth with the tartan weave for this, much like a kilt, rather appeals to the Scott in me. Look at the interior picture (second from left). There is only one pedal there. Or may be that's the brakes pedal, and the car does not have a throttle. May be its throttle by wire, and there is a connector that plugs into the driver's brain. OK, that's 1954, may be not :) D^2 ----------------- http://www.imperialclub.com ----------------- This message was sent to you by the Imperial Mailing List.
