Good Grief!

I think that this brochure is hilarious. I suspect that the only Russians that would ever think of owning an Chrysler Corporation car were ones that lived here. 

I love the name Imperial, and griffins and eagles too! The first Imperial I remember really looking at was a new '57. Even at the tender age of 5 the named seemed to emote luxury and class. One look at the new car confirmed it. At the time, Lincoln meant nothing to me other than the name of another expensive car, and Cadillac was a very strange word, indeed. 

Growing up with one in the family probably also helped make it feel normal to ride around in a car called Imperial. I always admired the signature on the front fender of my mother's car. Instead of paying attention to the teacher in my 6th grade class, I spent hours trying to copy that script over and over.

I love the name Imperial. If that name ever offended anyone, I'd say that was their own DuMass problem.
