Ed, The more you learn and do yourself, the more you will enjoy the hobby. There is a big reward that comes with doing it yourself. The feeling of accomplishment and the money you usually will save are a good part of it. Once you become experienced, you can add the fact that you will do a more thorough job of it to the list.
