Tips from a plastic model builder: the best abrasive stuff for plastic
that I know about is at:

I use their Micro-Mesh sanding pads on my models and they give
beautiful results. They are much finer than conventional sandpaper and
will produce a polished surface. They sell kits which are not too
expensive. But what I did on mine is to finish the lenses with Future
floor "wax." It's not wax at all but clear acrylic. Get the lenses as
polished as you can and brush on a coat of Future. It dries perfectly
clear and glossy. It may not be completely permanent but it's easy to
remove with ammonia if you need to redo it later.

Thanks. Good advise. I have cleaned them inside and out. Any
suggestions on how to polish them? Is there a particular method,
tool, wax, coating, etc. that is recommended? I've used lots of elbow
grease, soap and water but they are still very dull.
