My information comes from the parts book for 1981, a copy of which I am
looking at as I type. Regarding the second character in the VIN: A is for ImperiAl. C is for Chrysler P is for And, B is for? - - - - - - - - - Dodge!?! (Bdodge?
Bodge? Blewitagain?) I know Bill Watson is infallible, but something got lost in the
translation, I’m afraid.
-----Original Message----- The information that I got from Bill Watson a few years ago (when I was
building the Imperial Registry), said that an 81 is a "C" and
82 and 83s are "A". I haven't verified this independently.
If some one can prove me wrong, please do so, so I can get the Imperial Registry and the VIN
decoder fixed. Mark Elliott At 12:46 PM 1/16/2005 -0800, you wrote: >From: "Dick Benjamin" <dickb@xxxxxxxxx> >Subject: RE: IML: IML Year ID question >Date: Sat, 15 Jan 2005 17:29:29 -0800 >Reply-To: >Um... The second character will always be an "A" for an
