I've never used Lithium grease on electrical components but I do use the
recommended product, "Dielectric Grease".  This keeps connections from
corroding.  I can't say what effect any other type of grease would have.  I
prefer to stick to the proper stuff as it is readily available.

I've read in my Mopar Technical Service Bulletins that under no
circumstances are mechanics to put ANY type of lubricant on the antenna
shaft.  They are instructed to simply clean the mast thoroughly and leave it
at that.  I'd go so far as to say that a coat of auto wax would be ok
though.  Just passing on info I've read.  I've had similar issues and there
seems to be little that can be done beyond cleaning them.

  White lithium grease should work well for this as it is electrically
conductive. I do believe that it can also be used inside light sockets and
switches to prevent the contacts from oxidising or corroding, as long as one
doesn't dump a blob big enough in one to short it out. The wax approach may
work good as well but lack of conductivity might become an issue, though it
would likely wear away where the sections rub against each other.

Folks,

What kind of grease or lubricant would you suggest for my electric antenna?
We have a cold front that brought the temperatures below 20F and now my
antenna is stuck. I wanted to put something on it to help it a bit and
preserve the motor.

So, any suggestion and where I can get this?
