Re: IML: 1962 VIN

I think the first two digits are missing  - the two that are stamped on the
plate by hand when the car comes off the line.  The first digit should be
"9".

If that is true, then the remainder decodes as :

2 - 1962 model year
3 - Jefferson Avenue plant
130841 - 30,841st car off the line (Jefferson built Chrysler, Imperial and
Dodge Custom 880 models in 1962)
