IML: 66 Crown Coupe hood pad question

Hi Everyone, I just received my hood insulation pad from Gary Goers
(under 30 days turnaround!!!!) and my question is which side should face
out? The black firm side or the gray flock side? On another note i
replaced my headlamp bulbs with halogens. And three bulbs were stamped
"SAE 66" and one bulb "SAE 65" All bulbs still worked and were "GE" the
car just turned 100,000 miles and is mostly original!!!
