I've had this same experience with two different '71
Imperials.  On both cars, a few days later, the wipers
began to work normally again.  Cross your fingers, and
maybe yours will too!  ;o)  Otherwise, you may need to
replace the wiper motor assembly.

Any '69 - '73 Imperial window switch will interchange
with yours.  In addition, I rebuild window switches
for all years of Imperials -- contact me at
