The C-70 is the long-wheelbase Crown Imperial 8-passenger sedan and limousine. The C-73 is for the Custom Imperial, which came as 6-passenger models in 4-door sedan, 2-door hardtop and 4-door hardtop. Which is what the site you mention lists the models. If Tim has a 6-passenger model on the 133½" wheelbase, he has a Custom Imperial. If he has an 8-passenger model on the 149½" wheelbase, he has a Crown Imperial. The C-70 model designation was also used for the 1955 Crown Imperial. So, is yours a sedan Crown (C-70), or a hardtop of any name (C-73)?
