RE: IML: Anniston Meet

Sounds great! I am looking forward to my first Anniston meet this coming Spring. From the sounds of things this meet may become bigger than just Imperials and Packards. If Cadillacs and Lincolns are coming in, this thing may become the American Luxury Car Meet.
I sure wouldn't have any problem with that! I love them all.

Comments, thoughts?

Subject: IML: Anniston Meet

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to thank Donald Taccone and Debbie Brown for another fine
Packard & Imperial Meet in Anniston, AL. Luck was with us and Ivan made a
faster exit than had been predicted. The forecasters had all predicted the
storm to stall over north Alabama and Tennessee but fortunately it did not.
The weather could not have been better! I departed Chattanooga Friday
afternoon under a partly cloudy sky and a near perfect temperature for top
down driving! All three days of the meet the weather was as perfect as
anyone could have hoped for.

There were several new cars at this years fall meet. Mark Harris drove his
1960 Imperial up from New Orleans. Mark has had this car for about a year
and has been getting everything in order. It made the trip in fine style!
Beautiful car indeed. Also in attendance for the first time was a very nice
1950 Imperial in formal black from North Carolina, a 1960 Imperial LeBaron
from Atlanta, a very fine '56 Cadillac from Bir
mingham, and a stunning 1955
Lincoln. There may have been others but those are all the new attendees I
can remember. Jeff Carrothers drove his very fine '65 Chrysler New Yorker
to the meet again and Chris Hawkins came over Sunday with his beautiful '66
Imperial Lebaron. I drove my '64 Imperial convertible to the meet again.
Ed Noble drove his beautiful 1969 Imperial to the meet again and John drove
his '69 Chrysler New Yorker over from Atlanta again. Donald Taccone drove
his '56 Packard Patrician and Debbie Brown drove Donald's '56 Imperial from
Birmingham. There were probably others in attendance but that is all my
feeble mind can recall at the moment. All in all another fantastic Anniston
meet!

Thanks again Donald and Debbie,
Robert Soule
http://home.highertech.net/~soule/

'39 Chrysler Royal
'51 Packard 300
'60 Chevy Covair
'64 Imperial Convertible
'64 Imperial Ghia Landau Limousine
'64 Imperial Crown
'64 Cadillac Limousine
'65 Chrysler New Yor
