Well, since the uncertainty of the DIN-8 jack, I decided to go with a
cassette player adapter. I picked up one by Sony. I switched my radio CD
player for my previous, original, radio cassette player. It actually matches
my Imperial better since all knobs and controls have a silver finish, which
the CD player lacked. I plugged in the cassette adapter, plugged my iPod and
the music started blasting! The quality is as good as any CDs I've played!
I'm a very happy camper right now.

Thanks all for your suggestions!

-Laurent.
