As for the secret. I was just thinking of you and
the possible embarrassment out there with a toilet plunger on your Imperial
trying to suck out a dent. Take care, Val

Val, don't worry--your secret is safe with me--uh oh, I
just posted this to the whole list. Um ,well, your secret is safe with several
hundred people.
Actually, I'm not surprised by the answers I get. What
it has done is steel my resolve to hunt up a competent old-time, tools and
lead body man. They must exist. Even if I have to buy a $500 piece of junk to
drive for 2 months while my Coupe goes what could well be 100 miles away so
get the body restored prior to painting. Mind you, that is probably 2 years
and several thousands of dollars from now, but I WILL
PREVAIL!!

In response to the Chris Lyinch Question about dent
pullers. I may = suggest that nearly everyone has a dent puller
already. It's called a = toilet plunger. I know that sounds
like a funny but it actually works. = Maybe all designs won't work
but the old style does work on what I = refer to as big slow dents such as
a oil can type that just pops in and = out. It cant have any sharp
creases or dimples because that type dent = has stretched metal that
requires shrinking to fix it. Obviously a dent = puller can't do that
because it takes heat treatment to do that. Most = dents are
not repaired that way by body shops-ether they are just left = and filled
with body filler (plastic). The toilet plunger has to = started away
from the dent and slid into the center with the vacuum = already in it and
pulled. I hope I don't become too well known for this = remedy. I can
see some negative reverberations arising. Don't let = anyone see you
doing that!!! Good luck. Val
