We had this problem with the fuel pump on my 56 DeSoto. I never did
find a diaphragm, but I did find a place that does R&R on these for
you. Prices for vintage fuel pumps are as follows:
The link for the website of the guys is:
They stock over 1,000,000 vintage auto
parts. I think that their prices are fairly reasonable, and if you pay
over the phone with your credit card, you will have it in a couple
days. I also bought brakes shoes from these guys for my
1956.
Hope that helps.

Subject: IML: 61 Imperial Fuel Pump
Rebuild Kit
Hello 61 owners, I am in need of a fuel pump
diaphram rebuild kit. Has anyone found a place to get a new
kit?
I haven't had
much time to search, but maybe someone has done this already and can
recommend a vendor.
My fuel pump
works fine, but it leaks.
Thanks, Rob Kidd "New" 61 2-dr.
