a/c compressor oil

YES !!! I tried two times to make a "home made" gasket with gasket
material, w/ or w/o sealer, dry or oiled with compressor oil, etc....
And always leaking !!!
I bought one NOS from Collectible auto supplies ! No leaks, perfect
sealing ...

On my '57 compressor ("V" type, same until the '70s..) there's a screw
in plug : hex "allen" socket.. Problem was to removed this plug which
has never been removed since 40 years... The "allen wrench" rounded the
plug... So i had to drill the plug and ..opened the oil pan to remove
the remaining. That's why i needed a gasket...
The oil level is 2 " .
