Wow! Wow, again! This takes me back to
my boyhood. I ate, drank and slept cars at that age and Virgil Exner was
one of my auto design "heroes". Recently, Royal Ford who writes the
Automobile column for The Boston Globe wrote about Harley Earle. I wrote
an email to Ford, saying, "I also remember Virgil Exner as among the top auto
designers of the fifties." Thanks for this post! I also
ponder: Where have all those truly greats gone? Today's cars seem so
much less creative by comparison.
