Rob, There are just two brackets you need to run the Dakota accessories, one for the power steering and one for both the a/c & alternator. You will also need an idler pulley (not too expensive at a dealer, $40 or so) and the tensioner pulley ($75). You may need to use the power steering pump off of a Dakota or Ram; I am not sure about that though. Also this set-up did not use an air pump since they were able to pass emissions requirements with out one. I have thought about doing this conversion and any year Magnum overhead valve V-6 or V-8 (3.9, 5.2 or 5.9) from 1992 to 2003 will work. E-Bay is an excellent source for these parts; I picked up the a/c bracket for $20 last year. Before I forget, check the timing cover, it too is different form the one that came on older V-8's. It looks the same and bolts right up, however, there is an extra boss on it for a bracket bolt. If you used the older style cover this too will need to be changed. The cover on my 94 Dakota had a crack in it and I bought one off of E-Bay for $15. One more thing, if you do end up doing this conversion you may need to replace the a/c compressor, this is not a bad idea as the newer one is more efficient and is made for R134. I put a Magnum crate motor in it. The thermostat housing is offset to the wrong (right) side, so I had to remove the a/c compressor. Now I'll spend the summer pulling the accessories and brackets off a dakota and trying to hook it all up or (more likely) I'll just sweat. On the bright side, I have a 300+ hp new engine and I have my old 360 to rebuild and drop into one of my projects.
