Self-Introduction: this could take awhile-I first fell in love with these
cars on new years eve night when one was cruising Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena
Ca.Then and there I had to have one.At the time I had a senior class 1956
Continental Mark II and a rocky marriage. In 1982 the Mark II and I moved to
Carson City Nv. In the garage was the Mark and my 1956 Pontiac Safari.Since
I quit showing the MarkII I drove it quite often, but it always stayed in the
garage.A couple years later I went to the auto show in Reno,nv. There I saw
the most beautiful Nightwatch Blue 1981 Imperial ever.Upon closer inspection
I found out the car was sent to Swift Chrysler by Lee Iacocca for his buddy
Frank Sinatra to drive.I bought the car then and there.Along with the car
came a certificate of authenticity about its history and an autographed
picture of Sinatra and a note on the back from him about the car. When I got
it home I had a problem,3 cars can't fit in 2 spaces.After much deliberation
the MarkII lost
Mark was sold to a friend and returned to Calif. The Imp.has 53,000no astrik
lit miles.Since the original purchase I have bought, drove and sold around 20
Imperials.The other ones I have,each one has its story.As I submit their
pictures their story will be told. The pics of Sinatras car will be arriving
shortly. I am very much a junkyard junkie and run across 81-83 Imps at
times. If i can be of any assistance let me know.Always happy to help keep
these beautiful and rare cars on the road.
