80's Imperials defended by a biased owner.

The 80's imperials are a comfortable, economic and reliable car if they are
in capable and caring hands, i have owned my 82 for nearly 8 years now
and have not been let down once, i have done some running repairs
i.e. brakes, exhaust, servicing and a timing chain which is no more
than would be expected over such a time span.

It is easy to dismiss the 80's imp's, they are mostly misunderstood
as being tricky or unreliable, this is generally the fault of previous owners
cutting corners and bodging things instead of treating the car to the quality
repairs it deserves, but i am a bit biased i guess.

I had a chance to look at a 81 Imperial today..... They are definitely a different kind of car. In my humble opinion they are a curiosity kind of the same way  a 1980 VCR would today be a curiosity.
