Yes, I have tried using Future floor wax on my old Vinyl top and it did work.
The trick was to make sure that the top was ABSOLUTELY CLEAN before applying
it. The top has required no maintenance other than a regular washing to stay
looking clean, shiny, and new for over three years.
Frankly, I have been reluctant to share this with others since I have always
felt that I was just plain lucky that it worked, but it did work very well.
Vinyl Tops are very susceptible to damage if not treated properly so I would
not recommend this to anyone except as a last resort.
