Hello Group, I just joined a week ago and thought this would be a good place to find information on the 1970 Imperial I bought. I hope I am sending this to the right spot. I intend to keep the Imperial as original as possible. So, here is my first question. Part one. I am replacing the water pump. The pump on the engine appears to red or orange. The rest of the motor is blue and black. Is it safe to say the pump should be blue. It seems odd that the pump had been changed, since the car only has 29,000 miles on it. Part 2. It appears that you guys have varying opinions on everything from auto parts clerks to the tire size to the color of hub caps. So I will add this question. $20 for a rebuilt pump or $55 for a new one. I have other projects and I will not bury (money wise ) myself in this car. I will not put a lot of miles on it and it will not be a daily driver. If the two questions that I have submitted are the hardest ones I can come up with, I will be a happy camper and owning an Imperial will be a pleasant experience. Thanks in advance, Jerry
