I drive my 1953 Chrysler Imperial around the desert here in Southern CA and
get nothing but thumbs up signs from the kids and waves from the old timers.
A year or so ago I pulled into a gasoline station and the elderly gentleman
pumping gas at the next pump asked my if it was a new Lexus. When I told
him the car was almost fifty years old he shook his head in wonderment and
disbelief. I drove off chuckling to myself.
I think all those who say negative things about our cars harbor a secret
desire to own one!
