brake upgrade?

hugh, there are, acording to my local NAPA , brand new United master cylinders for56-61
imperials with power brakes. i've been reading the threads on this brake situation and
did some checking and did not just want to assume that new ones are no longer out there.
i've done some work recently on older mopars (47 and 50) and was able to get whl. cyls.
brake hoses etc. the parts are not always on the shelf but were aquired ina few days.
the united part# is 36063
while i agree with you that upgrading to a dual bowl master cylinder is best , as it offers some
braking when there is some kind of failure, i don't agree with the comment about being
quick to sue if there is some failure of a part. the company that rebuilds whl. cyls. , and master cylinders by boring and stainless sleeving that i have seen at Chryslers at Carlisle
does a very exceptional job and guarantees their work.
as far as "lifetime" warranty goes , it generally means as long as a person owns the vehicle
in question. i think that people assume it means as long as you live, which in the case
if you live to 90 or 100 and are still driving and still own the car that "lifetime' parts were
installed on, if the company is still in business they should honor the warranty.
if you own a car and put "lifetime" parts on it and  then sell it after 4 or 5 years that "lifetime'
warranty is done. the new owner is no longer the original purchaser.
