[It's hard for me to believe the vent window shaft is bent. I helped out at my cousin's body shop many years ago (when these cars were new) and that would have taken a blow to the top of the window.
More likely, the rubber seal is dried out. When that happens the rubber shrinks and there are miniscule cracks all around and even when the window is fully closed and seating against the rubber, air will whistle in. Wind can find places to enter you couldn't imagine, especially if you have the under dash vents open--this creates a suction or "low pressure" area inside the car.
You might try a rubber preservative like Armor-All or a rubber tire dressing. It might help, but not by much.]
Joel, I have the same problem with my '66 Crown. The passenger's side wing window has air noise coming in the car all the time. A friend of my who owns a body shop told me that the shaft on the top of the wing window is bend causing the window not to shut tight. I think if I try to bend the shaft back it will break off. I'm not sure at this time what's the best solution for the problem. Rich Woolf '66 Crown '73 LeBaron

I'm still having trouble getting the wing windows to closely tightly. (The passenger's side never did but the driver's side did until I removed the motor to clean and replace the gear.) My question is, is the motor not strong enough
to close it completely, or are there adjustments with the gears inside the motor that can be made? I've adjusted the screw on the glass every possible way. The window is not getting hung up on the weatherstripping either. Hopefully someone has some helpful info they can offer. Thanks.
