Roger; I have personally seen factory intakes on early Hemis with everything from a two barrel to dual quads. There is a guy in town with a 39' Chrysler hot rod who thinks because his engine has the dual quad intake means that it came from a 300, it's actually out of an Imperial. The easy way to tell the difference, if you haven't memorized the serial number, is that the 300 engines all have extra bumps in the valve covers as they have adjustable rocker arms. Industrial engines also have solid lifters but they also say "Industrial" on the valve covers instead of "Fire Power". With regards to gaskets the 392s had different head gaskets from a 331 or 354 due to the bore size, the intake gaskets may also be different as it had a taller block. If the set is for a 1954 or earlier Hemi the intake gaskets are also different due to the built in water cross over that those engines have. If you wanted to have cross rams on an early hemi you would need to make them and have a cam custom ground to match.
