Carb Problems - 62 Crown

I recently had problems with my 62 Crown stalling after
running it for several miles.
The mechanic said it is the carb.
I was think of replacing the stock carb with a Demon Carb(Summit Mag.).
Has anyone had experience with these carbs on the 413?
They have kits for Electric and Manual chokes.
Should I go with a manual choke or electric?
