Carb question

Square bore means the primary and secondary bores are the same diameter.  Spread bore means the secondaries are larger (typically...I guess it could be reversed but can't imagine why).  The theory is that the car will run better and more efficient on the primaries as if the carb itself were smaller.  When you get into the secondaries the big honking air valve opens up and your gas guage drops noticeably (grin).

Hi,

Curious again.  What is the meaning of
a 'square bore' vs a 'spread bore' carb?
