Hey Kerry, and all,, it's been quiet, but things will be picking up now. I found a garage in Brooklyn across the street from my apt. The owners are cool with me working on the car there as well. (no more street mechanics!) hah Just got the beast home, here's my list.. needs: new shocks a/c charged and of course, who knows about the auto temp. (Kerry, I'm very interested in hearing about the new refrigerant you're using) seat cushion foam. radio is intermittent on am and out to lunch on fm tuneup, (sounds like missing, maybe exhaust leak) front end, it wants to turn left, steering wheel doesn't center well. and rumble, (rear end? u-joint cv joint?) a bit of TLC by the way, I used Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS) and the whole experience was very positive. They picked the car up in Lake Havasu City, at my folks place on the 18th of April. The driver called first and was very prompt, courteous, professional. My father was impressed. The car arrived at the DAS terminal in Linden NJ on April 22 ! I got a call from them on the 21st saying that a chain had broken, and the was some minor damage to the front right fender, and by the time I picked up the car today, they had had an insurance inspector check it out, and process a claim already. The damage was very minor, and they were very professional about handeling the whole deal. I give them high marks If anybody has replace the seat cushion foam (leather with all those buttons) and dealt with rear end/drive train rumbles, I'd love to hear about it. more to come, with pictures Jack/Amy 73 Imperial 81 Imperial 98 Jeep Wrangler (all in Brooklyn, yes we're crazy)
