Heat soak & my starter motor



If this is the case, would maybe holding the throttle part to full way down
to the floor help?  I think that's what Ma Mopar recommends in the manuals.

I wasn't going to comment on the long series of answers to the hot start
problem until I saw your reply. My '55 does the same thing after a drive.
Let it sit for a few minutes and it won't start, but turns over slowly.
After cooling, it will start (if there is any juice in the 6-volt battery
left!) and it will also start when cold. I wonder if the car is vapor
locking at the carb-especially if the carb leaks a little gas down the
manifold-
