triple cosmic imperial experience

Of course, you and I know it's a '62 Crown Convertible in IAMMMW. But, never, ever, correct someone older and wiser than you :-)

Here's some frameshots of this beauty in action:

"WE'RE the ones with the Imperial and WE'RE running last?!" (Ethel Merman)

That movie is what hooked me on the bug-eyed imperials. However, I was always drawn to the '63 with it's slicked back fenders. They seemed to flow better than the '62s. But, '62 harkened back to my next favorite series, the 55/56 models. Beautiful, just beautiful. Now, a '61 has that certain bit of class: classic flowing fenders, the free-standing headlamps...

Mark.... Mark.... turn away from the light. turn away from the light.....

Subject: IML: triple cosmic imperial experience

Today I went to the bank, pulled my 67 lebaron into the only empty spot , when I got out, realized I parked next to a 90's imperial, as I was coming out of the bank I overheard a gentleman speaking to a lady friend how he like imperials while pointing at my 67, he told me his favorite model/year is a 63 ragtop, like the one in the movie "Its a mad mad mad world", funny thing , I told him, I just rented that movie last week, mostly to see the 63 vert in it.( good movie too) On a more technical note, just wondering what other people do, what do you set your timing on your 440's at ?, thanks mike Becker
