A musing

My parents bought a new '61 Imperial convertible in the summer of '61 (it
was my mother's birthday present). It was Teal Blue Metallic with a white
interior. The reason they ended up with that color was because the car was
in the showroom. It was, however, the only new Imperial in stock at the
time. I guess the Imperial was not promoted very much, as the dealer almost
never had an Imperial to look at. I was only eleven then, but have vivid
memories of that gorgeous car! I sure wish I was of driving age when they
decided to trade it in on a new Lincoln in '65.
