Exactly why I found the owner's comments so
interesting and why I passed on the info to the list. Cross rams were
offered on the Chrysler letter cars in 60 and 61 and perhaps later.
Also as an option on Plymouth in 60 and on Dodge in 61 as I have seen examples,
authentic factory ordered ones, of each, so it is very possible it could have
been factory ordered for an Imperial. They are long tubes on either side
of the engine that force more air into the engine for better ignition and fuel
burning and about 75 more horsepower over engines w/o them. They are
painted bright red in the letter cars. They look wild when the hood is
open.
So posing to the list whether or not others have
any experience with these on Imperials. Sweden owners I mentioned--are you
on the list???? Let's hear from you if so.
Thanks, Henry Hopkins
