68 Imperial Problems

First thing I'd do is take off the rear drums and see what is going on back
there! Sounds to me that either the shoes are adjusted in too far and not
making contact, or even more likely, there is a leak somewhere to the rear
brake system and the rear brakes aren't working at all. Definetly time for
some investigation, if you jack up the rear of the car, block it and put it
on stands, then spin the drum with the car in neutral, you should hear the
brake shoes slightly dragging on the drum. If they spin freely, this is
another good hint the rears are mis-adjusted. Either way, it definetly
sounds like there is a problem of some sort in the rear braking system, and
don't forget the check the condition of the lines going back, both the steel
lines and the rubber line that drops down to the rear axle.
