Your 1952 sedan is not a Chrysler Crown Imperial. The Crown Imperials were the long 145.5" wheelbase 8-passenger sedan and limousine models. The 6-passsenger sedan, club coupe, hardtop and convertible models, all on a 131.5" wheelbase, were sold as Chrysler Imperial in 1951 and became Chrysler Custom Imperial for 1952. The body of the 131.5" wheelbase models were shared with the 125.5" wheelbase Windsor/Saratoga and 131.5" wheelbase New Yorker models. The 123.5" Dodge Meadowbrook/Coronet and 125.5" DeSoto models were bascially the same as well, the major difference being the rear window. The Crown Imperial body was shared with the 137.5" Dodge Coronet and 139.5" DeSoto / Chrysler long wheelbase models. Very little will interchange between the short and long wheelbase bodies.
