Alot of Imperials got them. Many of the New Yorkers got them. A few of the 5th Aves got them, and even fewer of the Dynasty's got them. Basically they were almost always optional equipement. It seems that they are almost always bad on any car which has been unused for a while, or with high milage. I don't know about the stock airbags, but the aftermarket ones stress that a constant internal min. psi be used to ensure that the bags don't ware out. AirSpings sells an airbag set through JC Whitney for $70, which is for the rear only, and those require a min. psi of 110- if I remeber right. Keeping under 110 psi in the bags for extended periods of time does damage. These systems also don't last much longer then 150k. But I guess the same can be said more many front struts in k-baised Mopars (aka FWD from 1981-1993..). That said, the systems were as ware-resistant as their traditional counterparts, but are VERY complex to service, and have VERY expensive parts. I forget the exact dealer prices for the front units, but I believe replacing the front systems runs somthing like $900 per side (don't know if that includes labor). I personally think the after market systems are better- as they are cheaper, last slightly longer, and are much easier to use. Though to be honest, I much rather have & keep the traditional style, and then add load assist if its needed. --- Jay Jones <jayjones.realty@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Do you know which Chrysler/Imperial cars has the air > bags?
