Hi Luis, Congratulations on your 'new' car. I had a 54 Imperial for a couple years and they are sweet. Before you decide to 'upgrade' the electrical and brakes, you might want to try the originals. The 6V system will work fine, batterys are easy to find and crank the motor plenty for starting. The original drum brakes have plenty of stopping power even at turnpike speeds. Parts are easy to find.
