yes clean the tank of all the grit and dirt that has been around all
these years you will see the difference also change the filter in the
tank thats attached to the float
if you cannot find a intank filter dont worry just change the two
filters you recently installed also check and be sure you have the
correct filler cap some are vented some are non vented but from your
complaint you have dirt in tank also watch those gas and fuel additives
some of them clean the tank and and clog up gas lines and filters
