What problem are you having, specifically? I'll go out on a limb here, and
suggest that maybe you have a caliper sticking. This will leave the brakes
partically on all the time, and as hard as parts are to get for the Budd
brakes used from 67 to 69 or so, a sticking caliper can be a real disaster!
Do the front wheels rotate easily, when the front end of the car is jacked
up? How about right after a hard application of the brakes? If so, you could
have a caliper sticking, or possibly a bad rubber brake line to the wheel. I
had an original brake line go bad once, where it would let the brakes apply,
but wouldn't let the fluid come back thru and the wheel would remain locked.
It was a real problem to find too! How many miles do you put on your 67
annually?
That does seem like pretty short brake lining life, there may be something
wrong that is contributing to your linings wearing out quickly.
