67 440 engine

2 years ago I broke the crankshaft in to, pulled the engine took the two
pieces out and started a complet overhaul as the convertable was to good to
part out or junk. Installed a new crank new cam (a little hotter) oversized
pistons were instale (030 thousandth new rings iol pump the works also had
tranny pulled and resealed and adjuste new powere steering pump new steering
box and then put on a 750 cfm edelbrock carb with heat disapator at the
bottom between carb and intake. Powder coated the valve covers correct color
and the breather black repainted the Imperial name on the silver or tin
center ring. This car is an absolute dream to drive and ride in. Took it to
Fresno yesterday and did a little speeding and you could hear it purr at
85mph. It was worth the nearly $6s000.00 I invested by the way the body is
like new and I now have new Bridgestones on it, plan on going to Lowell's
place when some of you arrive from the Bay area and let you see this beauty,
still needs a little work, I would rather drive this car than my Buick
Roadmaster and I do nearly every day, it is not a garage queen or a trailer
queen
